Margaret Hamilton
CS accomplishments
Apart of SAGE(Semi-Automatic Ground Experiment) for the first U.S. defense system
Programmed software that could detect enemy aircrafts, created a guidance and control systems, and lunar modules for the Apollo missions, which helped in aiding and insured success majority of the time
Some minor contributions are her programming a software to identify system errors and recover information that might have been lost from the system from crashes
Though these softwares she created were very essential during the Apollo 11 mission, aiding astronauts like Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, it was a small yet significant part in which she played in the computing field

Grace Hopper
CS accomplishments
Contributed in the development of computer languages
In Harvard, she was part of a lab, computing for war efforts which included rocket projections, calibrating and checking mine detectors, and ranges for anti-aircraft guns for better accuracy and trajectory, which helped
First created computer language was called A-0 which translated quantitative numbers into codes computers can process and it made it possible to write programs for numerous computers instead of one mechanism
Contributed in created Flow-Matic, which was the first programming language using English words as commands
Other side contributions were her writing a manual for the basic principles of computing which was around 500 pages long and it was the first computer programming textbook
Her computer languages helped create computer code structures to go off of or add, which is very useful even today
